Cultural Tourism: Everything Can Blend In
Aug.14,2024

Under the guidance of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism, the Zhejiang Tourism Association, and the Zhejiang Daily Press Group, the "2023 Zhejiang Cultural and Tourism General Ranking" award ceremony was officially held on the afternoon of June 28, 2024, at the Zhejiang Agriculture·Dongchao Art Park in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City.

The event was jointly organized by Zhejiang Daily, Qianjiang Evening News, Zhejiang Online, Chao News Client, Zhejiang Elderly Newspaper, Jiangnan Tourism Newspaper, and Youzheli. Over 400 units from across the province competed for 10 awards, with a record number of participants and public votes. The final rankings were determined through public voting, expert evaluation, online publicity, and collaboration with the Zhejiang Daily Press Group's news database.
Among the award winners, DRAWSHINE's "MISE YUE KILN Series Makeup" was recognized as one of Zhejiang's Top Ten Tourism Products. Since its establishment, the DRAWSHINE brand has actively promoted the inheritance of Yueyao celadon and Mise culture, aligning with the local government's campaign, *"Mise Capital, Smart Cixi."* DRAWSHINE has continually developed celadon-inspired makeup products that blend cultural charm with artistic value. This approach reflects the brand's commitment to celadon culture preservation, technological innovation, Chinese aesthetic expression, and the cross-disciplinary integration of art and commerce. It not only enhances product uniqueness and competitiveness but also attracts increased market attention, especially among younger consumers.
As the "guardian" of craftsmanship and cultural heritage, Pan Mengnan, head of the DRAWSHINE brand, shared her insights: "In today's era, where consumers demand diversity and personalization in makeup products, those that combine tradition with innovation are more likely to stand out. The restoration and research of MISE YUE KILN production, a long-lost craft, is a significant project that involves experimenting with raw materials, formulas, glaze preparation, and firing at various temperatures, all while collaborating with local experts and artisans. Additionally, refining product aesthetics and matching various materials has been a challenging endeavor."
A college student from the post-2000s generation, interviewed at the event, remarked, "Several friends and I have used DRAWSHINE's products, and we're impressed by the attention to detail. It's amazing how traditional craftsmanship and modern makeup can merge and innovate like this. These products feel like they're genuinely preserving intangible cultural heritage. I’ve heard that DRAWSHINE is also helping revive the local porcelain industry and providing employment for many artisans. However, it's a shame that fewer young people are studying and researching these traditional crafts. We should take inspiration from DRAWSHINE."
